Admit is a college admissions planning tool. We are committed to protecting your personal information and being transparent about how we use it.

1. Who We Are

Admit ("we", "us", or "our") operates the website admit.college, an AI-powered college admissions advisory platform for students. You can contact us at privacy@admit.college.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly when you create an account and use our platform:

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your academic profile or essay content for advertising.

4. AI Features and Data Processing

Admit uses Groq, Inc. to process AI requests. When you send a message to the AI advisor, your message and relevant profile context (grade, GPA, school list) are transmitted to Groq's API to generate a response. Groq processes this data as a sub-processor under their data processing terms.

Your full essay text, financial details, and recommendation letters are NOT automatically sent to AI services. Only what you explicitly include in an AI conversation is transmitted.

AI responses from Admit are for informational and planning purposes only. They are not professional college counseling advice and should not replace guidance from qualified school counselors.

5. Payments

Paid subscriptions are processed by Stripe, Inc. We never see or store your credit card number. Stripe handles all payment information in compliance with PCI DSS standards. When you subscribe, Stripe creates a customer record linked to your Admit account, which we use to manage your subscription status.

6. Cookies and Tracking

9. Your Rights

You have the right to:

For EU/EEA residents under GDPR or California residents under CCPA, additional rights may apply. Contact us at privacy@admit.college to exercise any of these rights.

10. Children's Privacy (COPPA)

Admit is intended for students aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child under 13 has created an account, please contact us immediately at privacy@admit.college and we will delete the account and all associated data.

11. Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including HTTPS encryption, password hashing, prepared SQL statements to prevent injection attacks, and CSRF protection on all authenticated endpoints. No system is perfectly secure — we will notify you promptly in the event of a data breach affecting your personal information.
